D. To disseminate information on post secondary Financial Aids in target area.
- Keep current on financial aid procedures and trends and serve as financial aid resource persons in the target area.
- Conduct financial aid awareness and assistance workshops for the target area at large in conjunction with the Indiana Student Financial Aid Association.
E. To provide assistance to participants in gaining admission and re-admission to secondary and post secondary institutions which have adequate supportive services.
- Develop cooperative relationships with personnel at high schools, GED/ABE programs, and all day adult and evening division high schools where secondary dropouts will be enrolling.
- Develop cooperative relationships with admission staff, TRIO and other special support program personnel at post secondary institutions where clients are/will be applying and attending.
- Identify and help client plan for meeting all requirements for gaining admission or re-admission to a suitable secondary or post secondary institution and program.
- Conduct monthly file reviews of each client's file, and maintain contact as required to assure satisfactory progress toward placement or return.
F. To assist clients enrolling in post secondary institutions in obtaining adequate student financial aids.
- Assure that each post secondary-bound client understands and follows required deadlines and procedures in applying to all known financial aid resources for which she/he is eligible
